Real systems, built to hold up.

A few projects that show how I work: understand the problem, build something practical, and keep it running. I've kept the claims here to what I can stand behind — no invented numbers or borrowed results.

Point of Sale · Retail

YieldPOS at Crisp on Creek

Crisp on Creek is a fruit-and-veg shop in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane. Their register ran on an ageing system that was increasingly hard to work with. I built YieldPOS — a Windows point-of-sale designed for fresh retail — to replace it, and it runs in the shop day to day.

  • ProblemAn old register system that was dated and awkward for fresh-food retail.
  • BuiltA touchscreen register plus back-office admin — weighed produce, barcode scanning, receipts, cash drawer and a customer display.
  • ApproachAn Electron desktop app with an offline-first local database, so it keeps selling even without internet, with optional cloud sync.
  • BenefitA faster, staff-friendly checkout the shop owns outright — no subscription and no reliance on a live connection.

  • BuiltOnline bookings, a managed calendar, and customer records in one place.
  • ApproachA web-based system that's quick to set up and easy for non-technical staff to run.
  • BenefitLess admin, fewer missed or clashing bookings, and a clearer view of the day.

AI Workflow Automation · Product Data

RPP Product Knowledge & Workflows

A proposal and working system design for turning a large collection of supplier documents, pricing and product records into structured information that staff can search and use in controlled customer-email workflows.

  • ProblemProduct knowledge was spread across supplier catalogues, price lists and internal records, making reliable answers slow to assemble.
  • BuiltA structured product-knowledge foundation, supplier-data processing tools and a visual design for routing common email enquiries.
  • ApproachClassify each request, retrieve the relevant approved data, prepare a useful draft and hand uncertain or sensitive work to a person.
  • SafeguardHuman review remains part of the workflow wherever judgement, approval or escalation is required.

Operational and customer details are intentionally kept general.

Search engine optimisation

Alongside software and support, I also do practical SEO for Brisbane businesses — technical fixes, local search, and better content, with no ranking guarantees.
